Is this camping trip worth getting sick for....YES!!

I'm currently recovering from Tick Bite Fever (as far as I know, the first tropical disease I've had) and which I most likely contracted from a tick bite in the Botswanan bush last weekend. Here's a photo-essay to show why it was still very much worth it! We went to the salt pans and stayed our second night by deserted, barren and beautiful Kubu Island in the middle of a pan the width of Portugal. The island featured on the Top Gear team's crazy adventures across Botswana, where they were the first vehicles to cross the surface of the pans. It really was breath-takingly beautiful.

  1. Hi! Found you at last! Thought you must have a blog somewhere if I could only find it ... and meandered to it through Facebook, because Christine Ellse had put me as friend on there.

The annmarie is my confirmation name, which I use on the Internet sometimes (ann is just so common, they always ask for something else). It's good to catch up and see THE CAR. Grannie is wondering where you got the nail polish? Can you use donations and do they have to be brand new? I might ask my cardmaking mates for donations - I'm sure they must have some they don't use.

I have a blog, too (terribly interesting stuff - drains and washing up!!) anntique antics (funny we have similar blog titles ;-))

Bye for now! (I'm writing this at 1.15 am!) Aunt Annie
